Just a walk or short drive from the resort, Poombarai Village is famous for its terraced farms and the 2,000-year-old Kuzhanthai Velappar Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan. The temple, believed to be built by the great Siddhar Bogar, is not only a spiritual retreat but also a cultural landmark. The surrounding valley with vegetable gardens and garlic plantations makes for stunning photography spots.
